Blood stains.

Blood needs cold water only. Heat makes it set inside the fibres of the fabric.

  • First: cold water
  • Wash: a cold cycle, up to 30°C

What to do right away.

  1. 1Rinse at once with cold water from the back, until no more colour comes out.
  2. 2Blot with a clean cloth, without rubbing.
  3. 3If it has dried, soak it in cold water for an hour.

What not to do.

  • No hot or lukewarm water.

Heat sets the blood in the fibres.

  • Don’t rub.

    The stain spreads.

  • No dryer or iron until it’s completely gone.

Heat sets the stain for good.

In the machine, with the sheet.

  1. 1Put one sheet in the drum with the clothes. For a bigger or dirtier load, see how many sheets.
  2. 2Wash on a cold cycle, up to 30°C.
  3. 3Before drying, check the spot. If the stain still shows, repeat the steps and wash it again.

Always follow the garment’s care label. Silk, wool and “dry clean only” clothes go to the dry cleaner.
