Sweat stains.
Yellow stains on the underarms and the collar build up slowly. Washing soon gets ahead of them.
- First: lukewarm water
- Wash: up to 40°C
What to do right away.
- 1Wash gym clothes and shirts soon: don’t leave them in the basket for days.
- 2Turn the garment inside out, so the side that touches the skin gets a good wash.
- 3For yellow marks, soak the spot for 30 minutes in lukewarm water with a little baking soda.
Try it first on a spot that doesn’t show.
What not to do.
- No bleach.
On sweat it can make the yellowing stronger.
- No very hot water until it’s gone.
Sweat contains proteins, and heat “cooks” them into the fabric.
- Don’t iron the spot.
Heat sets the stain for good.
In the machine, with the sheet.
- 1Put one sheet in the drum with the clothes. For a bigger or dirtier load, see how many sheets.
- 2Wash at up to 40°C, if the care label allows.
- 3Before drying, check the spot. If the stain still shows, repeat the steps and wash it again.
Always follow the garment’s care label. Silk, wool and “dry clean only” clothes go to the dry cleaner.
Strong cleaning in one sheet.
Super-concentrated, with enzymes for everyday stains. 30 sheets for 30 washes.
